Today was the hottest day I’ve ever experienced in Ninilchik Alaska. I was actually hot! There were shorts, tank tops, flip flops, and a lot of burned skin. Well, and of course fish. 4 boats went out today, and 4 came back with nice halibut.

Today we celebrated our independence and our great campers with our annual fish fry! We cooked up over 30 lbs of halibut in different batters and everyone chipped in with side dishes and desserts.

One of of the best things about campers are their abilities to get out and meet new people and friends. To bring a piece of where they come from to the table and share with everyone.
Today one person after being on a halibut trip for 6 hours cooked chili to share. Some of the best banana pudding ever, my favorite Rice Krispie treats, and then some late shared fresh strawberry-rhubarb crumble.

Riding around the picnic area enjoying the sunny weather.
