Professional Staff At Afishunt Charters On The Kenai Peninsula
At Afishunt Charters we have the finest combination of youth, experience, enthusiasm, and expertise on the Kenai Peninsula. Our crew of eleven includes five saltwater captains, two river guides, and four deckhands.
Afishunt Charters is a member of the National Association of Charterboat Operators, the Alaska Charter Association, the Deep Creek Charterboat Association, and the Seward Charter Association.
Captain / Owner: Brian Baker
Brian is an Alaska resident and retired USAF. He holds a USCG Master license and is captain of the “VOYAGEUR” for the 2017 season.
Saltwater Captain / Prior Owner: John Baker
John was a fighter pilot in the USAF for 20 years and has been a USCG Master-licensed mariner for 24 years. He has now captained over 2000 charters in his fishing career.
Senior Saltwater Captain: Seth Ellis
Seth hails from Idaho and spends his winters there. He has worked for us for the last seven years, traveling to Alaska each summer to skipper for halibut. He holds a USCG Master license and is captain of the “HARD EIGHT” for the 2017 season.
Saltwater Captain: Cooper Hayden
Cooper joins us from Florida and holds with USCG Master license. Cooper is captain extraordinaire of the “EXCITER for the 2017 season.
Captain: Katie Ireland “Capt Bang-Bang”
Katie “Capt Bang-Bang” Ireland is a resident Ninilchickian and Halibut Captain.
Kyle is a resident of Ninilchik, Alaska and has grown up on the Cook Inlet waters. 2017 is Kyle’s third year with us.
Deckhand: Caleb Gaddis
We are happy to have Caleb back for the 2017 season.
